Join us at Komaru Outdoor Adventure for a masterclass in spoon carving on Sunday 25th September.

The course will be led by Komaru Instructor Andy Lewis and will take place at our Base Camp in Fishbrook Wood, a beautiful and scenic woodland inside the grounds of Knowsley Safari Park. You will be learning in an environment made up of larch, birch, oak, beech and hazel. The area is a haven for wildlife, making it a pleasant place to spend time, learn new skills and practice them.

We will take you from on the journey from tree to spoon, including how to select and cut a log, use tools, prepare a spoon blank, along with carving, shaping and finishing.  We aim to give you the skills and knowledge to continue carving after your day with us, creating beautiful items with us and after leaving the course.

All equipment will be provided. You just need to bring a sense of humour, a packed lunch, warm clothes and a camera.

The course is £50 per person and is limited to 10 participants. It will run from 11am to 5.30pm.
